As the new chair of the Live Your Dream program, I was lucky enough to obtain the services of master meeting facilitator Tatiana Bredikin. Live Your Dream is the premier philanthropic program of the Soroptimist International, a nonprofit organization. Tatiana was brought into the process to organize and manage the selection of the recipients for our annual awards. Members, who had experienced years of meetings with no facilitation, were overwhelmed by the professionalism and ease of the meeting organized and run by Tatiana. I had the pleasure of working with Tatiana when I had to prepare for an important meeting with some of the top people in the company in London to brainstorm a new methodology, and I was the facilitator. I needed help structuring the meeting and keeping certain people on track. I did a couple of online sessions with Tatiana, and I couldn’t have been more impressed with how things turned out. Tatiana has an uncanny ability to zero in on the underlying issues that could prevent you from being successful. She asks pertinent questions which challenge you to think deeply about how you’re going to accomplish the task, then she gently guides you towards a successful outcome. The meeting went flawlessly. Tatiana facilitated our strategic retreat and captured our concepts and objectives quite well in order to move us forward. We’re a difficult organization to grasp because we don’t provide strictly services but tend to be more of a link, network, and catalyst to other programs and organizations. This is a tough concept to get across to new board members, however, at the end of the day, each board member was confident in knowing what their purpose was on the board as well as being excited for the future. I want to thank Tatiana Bredikin for running our Zoom meeting in May 2020. We had originally scheduled a three-day event, but with COVID-19, that was impossible. We called Tatiana and explained we needed to hold one meeting for about 30 professionals. It needed to have breakout sessions, we needed to elect an officer, and people were in three different timezones. She did an amazing job. We were all over 50, and many had not been on a Zoom meeting before. She communicated with us in advance and included a quick and easy-to-follow Zoom tutorial. Tatiana facilitated what turned out to be a very productive and fun meeting. She provided support for one person who had trouble getting on and another who could not get her computer to work but did join us from her phone. Tatiana made it easy. We started on time and were done in just under 90 minutes. Thank you, Tatiana, for keeping us all on track and making it enjoyable.
